My name is Sam and I am an educator and guide hoping to share my lifelong love of the outdoors with others. My passion for woods-craft skills began as I grew up on our family farm and woodlot, where a long history of farming and forestry fostered the development of practical outdoor skills. I have spent time over the years working with organizations such as 4H, Search and Rescue, Trailblazers, and local recreation departments where I gained experience in teaching, orienteering, first aid and public speaking.
In 2014 I decided to combine my passion and experiences to create Sam’s Woodland Tours. The goal of my business is to encourage individuals and families to try new things in an outdoor learning environment. Workshops and tours cover a wide variety of interests including nature appreciation, plant and wildlife identification, woods-craft skills and year-round classic camping. I am looking forward to helping others explore their interests through outdoor adventures!
