FREE WINTER BONFIRES! With Sam Wentzell of Sam’s Woodland Tours
BOW DRILL FIRE STARTER & CANADIAN CANDLE Sam will demo starting a fi re using the bow drill method. Then we’ll roast some yummy Scottish bannock on a stick and put the kettle on the amazing Canadian Candle (Swedish Log) for some hot chocolate! Saturday, January 19, 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
CANADIAN CANDLE & LOG CABIN FIRE Sam will make a Canadian Candle and log cabin fire for you to enjoy hot chocolate, popcorn and marshmallows. So yummy! Saturday, January 26, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Maplewood Maple Syrup & Christmas Tree Farm has been producing maple syrup for four generations and selling balsam fi r Christmas trees since the early 1900’s. Join us for a wagon ride through this 350-acre operation, rooted in Canadian tradition! Listen to tales of maple syrup history and learn how the Veinot family are keeping the land healthy and fl ourishing. Sample some maple taffy or cream, see the sugar shack, catch a glimpse of some wildlife, and sit by the fi re to enjoy some hot chocolate and popcorn (with Sam Wentzell of Sam’s Woodland Tours). An experience every family should experience. All ages welcome! PLEASE PRE-REGISTER!
